I want to put horizontal racks up for 5 surfboards in my guest room. Is it time consuming? Should I just buy some instead?

Surfboard bags and racks?

Are surfboard bags and.or socks safe to use with a board rack (specifically an fcs soft rack) or does it have a possibility of slipping off. Also, what is a better investment,a board sock or bag and why? Any answers or other suggestions would be greatly apreciated. Thanks!
